This is one for "douzo" since she liked the previous one so much.....

In June, my family and I went to Yamanashi and stayed at a place near Yamanaka-ko. We had 2 seperate rooms and one was on the 8th floor and was the best suite in the building. Not only was the room/s very nice but so was the view. This was the view of Mt. Fuji!!!!

It's been a while since I last posted a blog. Between work and moving, my time has been real limited. So hopefully now that things are a little more on track, I hope I can update regularly again.....

Here is two taken with my cellphone. Here's another trick: Use your sunglasses as a filter. I didn't take a comparisonn shot but this one scene was real bland without my shades in front of the lens. Gave it a yellow tint toward the top (using shades with a gradient) but this looked much better than without the yellow.

These aren't much at all. They're my first attempt at trying to catch lightning. In my opinion, the most difficult to shoot.

This is actually a re-post of a previous blog with the photo I shot last year. Since today is the 62nd anniversary of the a-bomb dropped on Hiroshima, I thought it would be appropriate to post again.

This was actually one of my nephews' idea...he put his cellphone's camera lens up to a binocular lens and got an instant telephoto lens! Cool idea, so I did the same and this is what I got....pretty damn clear for a cell phone, if you ask me.

A little trick with a cellphone camera. Breathe on the lens and take a shot. As a result, you get the effect that fogilizer lens filters give on the bigger cameras. I suppose you can do this on point-and-shoot cameras too.
No trick to this and the one below.
Recently, I went on a trip to Hiroshima with the whole family by bullet train. I took these on the bullet train, cruising at about 290km/h. I'm guessing that the phone mechanics can't keep up to that kind of speed so created this kind of photo. Kind of neat...
On a seperate trip with the family, we went to Yamanashi prefecture. We first made our way through Shizuoka prefecture before going to Yamanashi (Mt. Fuji lies in both Shizuoka and Yamanashi). Normally, you can see Mt. Fuji on a decent day, even all the way from Kanagawa and Saitama prefectures. Well, we spent the whole morning and afternoon driving to and through Shizuoka. Not once did we get to see Mt. Fuji as the skies were full of clouds. Knowing that you are right next to the volcano (driving on roads that lead to it and wrap around it and etc.) and not getting to see it is a big bummer. But after entering Yamanashi and getting close to our hotel, one of my sisters spotted it and this is what we saw.
